We are now looking for a specialist doctor in ophthalmology for the Eye Clinic in Skellefteå!

The Eye Clinic in Västerbotten provides specialized healthcare in the field of ophthalmology in Västerbotten and the northern region. Our operations are located at the three hospitals in the county: Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are a university clinic with large patient flows that care for patients with eye diseases of all ages, from newborns to the very elderly.

The Eye Clinic in Skellefteå provides regional healthcare to the population of Skellefteå and Norsjö. The clinic consists of a reception and an operating unit for cataract surgeries, injection treatments, and external surgeries. The operations are conducted during daytime hours, with no on-call duties in the evening, night, or weekends. We are a well-functioning outpatient clinic with good staffing consisting of ophthalmologists, resident doctors, nursing assistants, nurses, orthoptists, optometrists, and medical secretaries. Currently, we have 30 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an ophthalmologist with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.

You will work with medical and surgical care of the eye. You will examine, diagnose, and treat eye problems and eye diseases, as well as manage eye issues caused by underlying conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed physician with specialist competence in ophthalmology.

We want you to be engaged, competent, and have good collaboration skills. You contribute to job satisfaction and enjoy working on development.

If your qualifications have not been peer-reviewed previously, this must occur before employment in accordance with the Regulation (1998:1518) on eligibility for certain positions within healthcare.
